EVA PICALLO
MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST
A multidisciplinary creative, Eva currently resides in Helsinki for over two decades. She holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Vigo University, Spain, specializing in painting. However, her artistic practice extends beyond painting, encompassing installations, performances, sculpture, and wall murals.
Her artistic approach is characterized by versatility and a willingness to experiment with different materials and techniques. She possesses a sharp eye for detail, creating works that are both visually appealing and intellectually engaging.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, she also shares her knowledge and passion for art as a teacher. As Co-founder of Pequeño Mundo Oy, she uses her artistic vision to create unique and engaging experiences for her clients.
HUYEN PHAM
ARTIST, ILLUSTRATOR
"I am an artist and illustrator based in Helsinki, Finland and I love drawing characters, food, and cute things!
I rarely set New Year’s resolutions for myself, but I know that my resolution for 2023 was to develop this passion. I had no particular expectations. I just wanted to do more of what gives me joy. And so, I started selling my illustrations and found people who love my work. I see this as an never ending story and look forward to where my creativity will take me. I hope my work finds it’s way to your heart."
TATIANA POTAPENKO
ARTIST
Born in 1979 in Russia, Tania exhibited an early affinity for the visual arts. She received formal training in an art school with an academic focus during her youth. Despite pursuing a successful long career in corporate finance in Finland, her new homeland for over 20 years by now, her artistic spirit remained undiminished.
In her adult life, Tania's dedication to art resurfaced, driving her to rekindle her passion for painting. She engaged in private art programs and artist-led workshops to refine her artistic vision and language. Today, Tania is an artist with a presence in both domestic and international art exhibitions. Her works are found in private collections in Europe and the United States.
With unwavering commitment, she continues to create compelling and thought-provoking art that resonates with contemporary art lovers.
GABRIELA PRESNAL
PAINTING, VIDEO, SCULPTURE ARTIST
Gabriella Presnal is an artist who has primarily worked with mediums such as painting, video, sculpture & installation and has also done projects using 360 videos, AR (Augmented Reality), as well as applied fine arts. Their works are especially inspired by their life experiences such as living in countries like the US, Canada, Sweden, and Finland.
Presnal had their first solo exhibition in 2019 in Helsinki, with subsequent exhibitions in the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (CICA) in Korea, Post Office Projects in Australia, DigitalBigScreen in Slovenia, Leopoldo Gotuzzo Museum of Art (MALG) in Brazil, and other exhibitions in Italy, Cyprus, & New York, USA.
In their studies, Presnal has graduated with a Bachelor in Media & Art (fine art study path) from Tampere University of Applied Sciences and is continuing their studies at Aalto University & Aalborg University (double degree split each year between the universities) studying a Nordic Master in Visual Studies and Art Education.
MARIA PROKHOROVA
DANCE ARTIST, EDUCATOR
HIAA INTERN
Maria is a dance artist and dance educator based in Helsinki.
At the age of 7 Maria started her serious dance training with classical ballet at Petrozavodsk Art School in Russia. Gradually her artistic interest in and about dance has changed from ballet to contemporary dance and dance improvisation.
In 2008 Maria moved to Finland to study at Theater Academy Helsinki and graduated as a Bachelor of Dance in 2011.
Through dance teaching she has found her way into childhood education and for last past years has been actively working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
ROBERTO PUENTES
PHOTOGRAPHY
Roberto Puentes is a Mexican creative with a Finnish twist. With background in graphic design, photography and video he is deeply passionate about creating stories through powerful imagery, film and design. Relocated from Mexico to Finland in 2020, his main interest is to work, support and collaborate together with other creatives, especially with projects and individuals who align with his values and vision. He believes in the power of human connection, community, and responsibility as acts of rebellion in a world full of madness.
ANDREA PUSCASU
ARTIST
I am a young artist and architecture student studying at Aalto University. I started painting purposefully during Corona Spring of 2020. Over the years I’ve made the realisation of how art is a team players game you cannot go at alone. Since I started, my artistic views have developed and I’ve made progress from dark thoughts, desperation and accusatory paintings to bringing hope through the loud voice of which art carries. Nowadays, I work with different kinds of people (children, hospital patients etc.), paint with them, then use their original paintings as collage pieces in my works.
When a piece has, say, multiple artistic handwritings in the collage, it becomes alive differently and suddenly we have multiple stories which to pass onward to people. People deserve to see on the other end as much as the artists from my paintings deserve to be heard. And the best part is that we can have a really great time together creating! I would like to enhance this kind of activity more in the art world. We always say it belongs to all, but what about if it would be in a way accessible to all? I strongly believe there has already been made a difference for the better and we can enhance the communication through art between ages, cultures and all the other kinds of possible differences together. So,I would say my art is taking a turn towards interaction between people.
SUKHI RAGHUNATH
PAPER ARTIST
RAGHUNATH, originally from Bangalore, India, is a creator now based in Helsinki, Finland. They hold a master's degree in communication management, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology, English, and Journalism.
"My journey with paper flowers and botanicals began when I was looking for unique, earth-friendly decor for my child's first birthday. It has been six years and I haven't stopped creating flowers since.
Why this name? Flowers flourish with sunlight! They bloom, and grow! 'My Sunshine Space' to me is one such place that harvests and encourages my creativity. "
SHKURTE RAMUSHI
PAINTING, MIXED MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
Shkurte Ramushi is a painter, photographer and art teacher currently based in Espoo, Finland, originally from Kosovo. In her artworks she researches and investigates nature-humans-arts relationships, the life between two states and the memories of her home. In recent years, the artist has been a teaching assistant at University Kadri Zeka Giljan and for one academic year at University Hasan Prishtina, Prishtine, Kosovo, while also working with NGO for people with disabilities, teens and kids.
The artist was invited to several international artistic arts shows, exhibitions and festivals spanning across Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic, France, India and more.
"My main inspirations are nature, society, and the human soul. Throughout my life experiences, art has always fulfilled me. It was precisely art and my special connection with it through which I gained freedom and independence. Also, in the days of quarantine and isolation, it was once again art that helped me find freedom and creativity."

"As an artist dedicated to eco-responsibility, I craft unique pieces from surplus floral materials, steering clear of waste. Each petal undergoes a transformative journey within my creations, symbolizing the potential for a renewed dialogue between humanity and nature. Concurrently, my voluntary commitment to combat floral waste leads me to collaborate with an organization (FloweRescue) that regularly redistributes unsold flowers to elderly care facilities and charitable associations. This social involvement reinforces my belief in art's ability to visually inspire while fostering inclusion and awareness. In conclusion, my artistic approach aligns with a broader endeavor to redefine the role of the artist in contemporary society. It is a sincere invitation to contemplation, inspiration, and a positive call to action for sustainability."
