HIAA MEMBERS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CREATIVE ALCHEMY

📍 Creative Alchemy, Helsinki
HIAA Member’s opportunity at Creative Alchemy
🔑 Host your solo or group one-month exhibition with a fee 200-300€ (including time for private screenings and events (approx. 50-60h).
🔑 Host an individual event/workshop with the fee 15€/h (min. 3h) or 5€ per participant whichever is more cost-efficient for the workshop host. The workshops can be held on weekdays or weekends.
(All prices are not including VAT, 24% VAT will be applied when invoiced.)

Theme: Northern Crossroads

Place: Nordic Culture Point, Suomenlinna Island
Opening event: 23.8. at 17.00 - 20.00
The theme "Northern Crossroads" for our upcoming group exhibition encapsulates the convergence of diverse cultural, artistic, and geographical influences that define the unique artistic landscape of the northern regions. This theme invites artists to explore intersections where various paths meet—whether through the melding of traditional and contemporary styles, the fusion of local and international perspectives, or the dialogue between nature and urban life. Artists are encouraged to interpret "Northern Crossroads" in ways that reflect their personal journeys and experiences, highlighting how their work bridges different worlds and fosters new connections. This theme serves as an open invitation for participants to delve into the rich tapestry of narratives and identities that thrive at these crossroads, ultimately enriching the collective understanding of what it means to create art in this dynamic and multifaceted region.

This call is open exclusively to members of Helsinki International Artists’ Association. In this call, you may apply with the following works: moving image and short films, small sculptures, framed paintings, drawings or other types of original wall art, workshops, performances

NARINKATORI SUMMER ART AND CRAFT MARKET

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS AND CREATIVES TO JOIN HIAA ART & CRAFT MARKET / SUMMER EDITION 2024

The Helsinki International Artists' Association (HIAA) is excited to announce the third edition of its annual Summer Art & Craft Market. This year, we are thrilled to introduce a new location: Narinkkatori, the vibrant square in front of the Kamppi shopping mall. Situated in the heart of Helsinki, Narinkkatori attracts a diverse crowd of locals passionate about arts and culture, as well as tourists seeking unique and special finds. Join us for an unforgettable event celebrating creativity and craftsmanship this August!
This call is open for artists, crafters, artisans as well as food vendors.
The Market has space for 50 participants.
Application period is June, 3rd - June, 28th, 2024
Early bird sign up for HIAA Members: June 3-16, 2024
Anyone else interested: June 16-28, 2024
Participation fee
Participation fee is 30€ for HIAA members and 60€ for non-members.
Food vendors are charged 60€ for participation plus they pay 40€ towards the electricity bill.

Association is making a participation contract with each vendor. The contracts are to confirm that products sold in the market are your own designs and by selling them, you are not breaching intellectual property laws in Finland. Participation invoices must be paid by the 31st of July.
